Juggling Your Real Life and Your Online Business

Are you struggling to make money online, are you finding it more and more stressful it work 40-60 hours a week then try and get your internet business going. Does your wife or husband think that you are wasting your time with this dream? Lets try and balance the situation so things can improve.

I find that most people get so caught up in the day to day that they cant seem to step away and see the big picture. If your wife or husband, or even the kids need your attention, you need to make sure to give that attention. Here are a few simple steps to help you free up some time.

1.)    Prioritize

2.)    Be efficient

3.)    Out source

Those three tips right there can save you countless hours online. If you prioritize you will find making schedules and getting work done faster is possible. Be efficient, think of all the time that you are online, and how much of that time is wasted because you get distracted online. I don't blame you, the internet can be a place full of distractions. Stay focused.

Lastly outsource, now this does cost some money, but paying a company or person to do something that you aren't good at, they can get the job done much faster. Now the down side is that out sourcing will cost you money. But you will gain precious time to either re focus into the business or to spend time with your family. Out sourcing was the turning point in my internet career, because I was able to focus on so many other things.

Making Money on the Internet - Basic Truth

Making money on the internet is, in most people's opinion an excellent way of earning a living whilst working from home. A lot of other people out there in internet land try to sell a means of owning a website to folk by telling them how grand and rich it will make them. Yes, you can earn a good living on the internet and a very small percentage have made it rich, but what these sellers don't tell you is that there's a lot of work to do behind the scenes.

Ah yes, money. We all need it and most of us want more of it and you don't need me to tell you how the internet has completely revolutionalised the way sellers sell, buyers buy and shoppers shop.

If we shop online, we can buy anything and have it delivered to our house. We can buy a house online. We can buy a jet plane on eBay or a weekly shop at Tesco - couldn't do that just fifteen years ago!

Ok, but to be making money online needs lots of discipline and stamina, and of course what some folk shy away from - good old fashioned work. There aren't to my knowledge, any plug in and earn money type of businesses on the internet but there are ones where you earn money if you put in the work and effort.

If for example you have a website business the basic truth is, you will have to market that business. This will be 95% of your work. Anyone can put the best website in the world on the internet but without marketing you certainly will not have customers coming to visit it.

In addition to the paid advertising like Google Adwords, there's the good old (well, young actually) organic marketing, or free marketing. This includes using social networking sites like Squidoo, Hubpages, Facebook and mySpace. It includes writing articles just like this one you're reading right now and posting them on various article sites, again just like this one. It includes getting involved in forums putting a thread on them regarding some business information you know of or leaving a comment on someone else's thread. This list goes on and on.

The point here is that you do have to work, though it be working from home, to get your online business out there to the public. But I have to say that discussing with other like minded individuals, writing Squidoo Lenses and articles is all quite a lot of fun believe it or not - it really is.

The basic truth about making money on the internet? Marketing.
